EDP Reduces Energy Consumption with Sotécnica's LED Lighting

After years of operation, the existing equipment was ready for an upgrade that would not only improve energy efficiency but also reinforce the company’s commitment to responsible environmental practices.

The implementation of this solution, developed by Sotécnica’s Maintenance department, allowed for a reduction in energy consumption from 32,700 W to 24,000 W, resulting in a savings of 8,700 W. This 26.6% reduction in energy consumption directly decreases the building’s carbon footprint and improves the project’s sustainability. Additionally, the solution optimizes operational costs, especially in the realm of Facility Management, by reducing the need for maintenance and making tasks quicker and more efficient, with fewer interventions needed over time. The increased energy efficiency, combined with optimized maintenance management, contributes to a positive impact on the company’s green image
