The implementation of SCADA and automation systems in Águas do Centro Litoral (formerly SIMLIS – Saneamento Integrado dos Municípios do Lis, S.A.) was selected as the pilot project for the integration of the production process in Águas de Portugal group SAP system.

Actemium took over this project, being responsible for:

• Supply of 39 PLC (UTRs);
• Remodeling 12 stations with existing remote units;
• SCADA system in Hot-Standby;
• CFTV system and access control;
• Architectural project and electrical installation in the dispatch center;
• Supply and installation of equipment related to electrical energy, pressure and level;
• Fire detection and intrusion systems.

The integration of these systems covered 10 WWTP and 49 lift stations.

On the communications level, a multi-service network based on optical fibers, UHF Radio-modems, GPRS and ADSL infrastructure was implemented.

The project was selected to participate in the telecommunications competition “Optimus 2008 Innovation Awards” promoted by Optimus, aimed at corporate clients to adopt innovative and advanced mobility solutions.
